DIRECTIONS TO THE MEETING LOCATION: The building is on the north side of La Colina Road. The Board Room is located at the front of the building towards the street, and the Library is at the center of campus east of the flagpole.

7.    OLD BUSINESS

A.   Discussion of Proposal by Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District – Update on progress.

 

8.    NEW BUSINESS.

A.   Approval for General Manager, Biologist and four Technicians to Attend Continuing Education Training in Anaheim at the Phoenix Club on January 26-28 in an amount not to exceed $2700Continuing Education Training for all certified staff members as required by the California Department of Public Health. (pg. 12).

B.   Annual Election of Officers – Nominees to be taken from the floor prior to vote.

C.   Discussion and/or Approval for Trustee Blair to Attend the Santa Barbara County Special District Association (SBSDA) Chapter Meeting in Buellton on February 22, 2010. The purpose of the SBSDA is to advocate constructive means for the improvement and functioning of independent Special Districts within the County of Santa Barbara, and to assist such independent Special Districts and their governing bodies. Trustee Blair would like to attend as a representative of the MVM District and estimates his expenses to be less than $60.

 

9.    MANAGER’S REPORT (pg. 14)

Topics Include: Special Southern Region Meeting, MVCAC annual conference, Administrative Assistant position, relocation to Goleta, Andree Clark Bird Refuge, website updates, finalized audit.
