About Us

Who We Are

The Mosquito and Vector Management District of Santa Barbara County is an independent special district that controls and monitors disease-carrying mosquitoes and rodents. We regularly test for vectored diseases and educate the public on how to reduce the probability of contracting such diseases. As a local government agency, we enforce the California Health and Safety Code as it applies to public health issues regarding problem insects and rats. Our focus is on mosquito control to help protect you from issues that can arise from these insects.
