California Mosquito Awareness Week!
Although California Mosquito Awareness Week is over, it doesn't mean mosquito activity has stopped. Mosquitoes will be active and abundant from now through October. We also want everyone to be aware of the yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti, which can transmit dangerous viruses such as Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya and the virus that causes yellow fever. Be sure to read the information here and elsewehere on our website about this dangerous mosquito. Fortunately, it's not here in our area - but it could show up anytime!
